Fellow Chaplains and friends,
One of our longtime members and friends, Chaplain Supervisor Tom Franklin, climbed some rocks to take a photo of a beautiful landscape and fell, causing a head injury. He has an extensive need for prayer and financial support as he faces a long road of treatments.
Here is the original announcement about his injury.
—— Good morning friends. “This is the day that the Lord has made; I will rejoice and be glad.”
I haven’t been one to share much on Facebook. But today I’m reaching out to everyone to pray for my dear husband of 56 years, Tom. April 18th we went to Two Harbors, MN for a couple days to celebrate that anniversary. We enjoyed dinner on the 18th and on the 19th Tom decided to climb a pile of rocks to get better pictures of Lake Superior. He lost his footing and face planted into that pile of rocks! (He did get good pictures!)
God enabled me to get him home to Owatonna, and he has been a guest of St. Mary’s hospital in Rochester since April 20th.
Tom had two brain bleeds and has had two surgeries. We are learning the ups and downs of brain injuries. There are many of both, and it can be encouraging and discouraging within minutes.
I am praying for total healing, so that he can get back to better than he was, to be the man of God he is, and to be able to share the message of the Gospel with all he meets.
Thank you to so many who have reached out and are praying for him. It’s difficult to contact everyone that we have met after so many years and many miles in ministry and friendship. So that’s why I’m taking this method to thank you all for your love and kindness and please continue the storm the Gates of Heaven and behalf of Tom Franklin.
As he has said so many times to so many people, “I don’t know who holds the future, but I know Who holds my hand.” The Lord is in control. To Him be the glory!
Chaplains and friends, please prayerfully donate to Tom and Becky. ACCC will collect all proceeds and forward in entirety to the Franklin family. We are doing it this way, though our website, so the absolute maximum can be raised without any of the various sites taking a fee for their processing. Here is where you can donate. Please make sure to the donation to Tom is selected in the form.
