The Association of Certified Christian Chaplains (ACCC) is a nationally recognized Board Certifying body with members providing care in most of the fifty states. ACCC utilizes the “National Common Standards” in our Board Certifying process. The ACCC certifying process includes an interview with the National Panel on Certification, online exam exhibiting vocational competence, written evidence articulating the candidate’s theory and practice developed through experience and education, simulated role play to measure situational awareness and appropriately employing effective spiritual care.
Accepting CPE units from The Institute of Clinical Pastoral Training and other COMISS Network organizations.

READ MOREEffective 5/18/2021, Board Certification by the Association of Certified Christian Chaplains IS fully recognized by the Veterans Administration. Candidates must be U.S. Citizens, have denominational endorsement by an approved endorser, Four units of Clinical Pastoral Education from a Department of Education approved program (Currently only ICPT and ACPE are approved sources), and they must have an MDiv or equivalent degree.
